A very simple and holy devotion. Makes it easy to pray this particular devotion every single day. Can carry this little booklet with me when I go to multiple doctor appointments - especially when sitting in the office of my oncologist at Tufts waiting for my appointment and for "results" of tests. Very unobtrusive, very private and personal time to devote to prayer. Also, lovely add on to my devotion to the Three O'clock Hour of Divine Mercy. I say Pray the Divine Mercy Chaplet and then have plenty of time to respectfully and reverently pray the Stations of the Cross. Very pleased with the quality, the reverent content, the simple and humble beauty of the format, written devotion and lastly, the cost which for someone on Social Security and living below the poverty level, I appreciate immensely.
The first time I did the Stations, at Emmitsburg, I used this and a older, traditional text. Both provided great meditative insights. I love watching Fulton Sheen on YouTube. He is a great concise teacher; and boy, he knows how to write on a chalk board--quite an art.
Amazingly beautiful reflection on Christ's Passion. Sheen's words are brief but poetic and profound. Every time I read it I receive something new.
Ven. Fulton Sheen gives me a swift spiritual kick in the behind with his writings and reflections on the stations of the cross. I used this throughout Lent and would often read just the reflection or just the prayer for the station as I tried to fit it in during my lunch break and didn't have as much time as you could spend with it.
Bishop Sheen sure has a way with words! One of my favorite versions of this timeless devotion.

While conveniently sized and traditionally arranged this pocket sized book is super for those who wish to practice the Stations with quiet personal reflections as only Arch Bishop Sheen can evoke. While the size is perfect to fit in a shirt pocket and allow one to follow the stations before/after mass the only reason I limit the selection to 4 stars is because I would so much like if the book contained more of Arch Bishop Sheen's reflections. He is truly an inspired Catholic communicator!
Very helpful during this past Lenten journey.
